2008

November – March, 10:00 a.m.
Group Tours - Mondays & Fridays, or other days by special
arrangement
Public Tours - Saturdays

Take a tractor-drawn wagon ride with a friendly guide, and get
introduced to life on a working organic family farm. Learn about
certified organic vegetable production in Florida, see the family
collection of farm animals – beef cattle, dairy goats, chickens, and pigs,
and get your questions answered about how to garden organically.

School groups, homeschoolers, garden clubs, and other community
organizations with groups of 12 or more can reserve a tour for Monday
or Friday. Tours can be customized to include specific topics, such as
pollination, water and nutrient cycles, insects, or species diversity.
Please tell us about your group’s special interests when you make your
reservation.

Public tours on Saturdays are for individuals, and groups of less than 12.

Tour participants are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the
farm after the tour.

The farm gate opens for tours at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 1:00 p.m.
Reservations required. Tours are $10 per adult, $7 for kids age 12 and
under, and free for kids under 2 years. Tours are free to farm members
and their accompanying guests.

Being Thankful - Yoga Celebration
This Thanksgiving week, The Yoga Sanctuary and Worden Farm would
like to invite you to participate in our 'Being Thankful' celebration. As
cultures have given thanks for centuries for a bountiful harvest, join us
as we express gratitude for the blessings in our life through the practice
of yoga. This celebration will take place, appropriately, at Worden Farm,
Charlotte County's only organic community farm. You will learn about
organic vegetables and farming, experience a mini yoga session, and
share in a brief meditation on gratitude. This event is for the whole
family! All donations collected will go to the Charlotte County Homeless
Coalition to help those in need also enjoy the benefits of 'Being
Thankful' on Thanksgiving Day.

Reservations not required. Donations only, for the Charlotte County
Homeless Coalition.
